My Comet
Remembering Comet~
On a September evening after coming home from food shopping, while we were unpacking our bags we heard a noise, an animal. We weren't sure if the animal was hurt, stuck, or what it was. We thought the neighbors dog had gotten stuck somewhere. My honey and I looked all around trying to find the animal. We were puzzled, then we saw a big white cat sitting on the neighbors wall. I know all the cats in the neighborhood so I knew he was a stray. He seemed friendly. We brought him out food to eat on the porch, which he quickly gobbled down.
He looked to be a young cat, thin, white, long haired. He was dirty and had grease all over his back. He was very friendly. We didn't know what to do with him. My Hubby looked at me with questioning eyes... We had two cats and a dog. I said, "if he gets along with the dog!". With that, we opened the door and let him in. He walked right up to our dog Chessie and rubbed on his head. I don't know who was more suprised us or the dog.
After we cleaned him up and gave him more food he seemed so happy. Later Hubby and I were watching a movie. I liked laying on the floor to watch movies. He came right over to me, curled up on my chest and went to sleep. Hubby said "guess he has a home!"
We took him to the vet for a check up. She said he was one or two years old and in good health. At the time Haley's Comet was in the night sky so we called him Comet. He was always a good boy, a little crazy for food. Of all things, he love the dark green lettuce leaves which he begged for. He loved our son Christopher and stuck by him all the time.
Comet lived a long life. We had him 18 years. He went to rainbow bridge on May 11, 2011. He is burried in our yarden next to Chessie~

Lil Garden
I just love looking at the lil flower garden in my front yard. It's looking so pretty this year. All the plants are small at the moment because we just transplanted them and also bought some new ones. I can't wait to see them all in full bloom in the middle of summer. The butterflies are going to love them. This year I planted Morning Glories along the fence, lamp post and front porch. I hope they do well.
Little seedlings in the mini green house kit, boy that works great!
Little seedlings by the front porch. I know once they start growing they will be up the post in no time~
My new hanging flower pot on the porch. All my flowers are in shades of blue, purple, pink and white.

Busy Sunday
Woke up early this morning and headed off the the flea market with my son Christopher. I love spending time with him. Had fun snooping at all the treasures. I bought Hosta plants for my garden. They sure will look pretty.
After lunch went to the garden center and bought two Shasta Daisy plants, a new American flag and some stepping stones to make a new walkway in the garden.
Hubby worked so hard putting the walkway in and planting my flowers. It sure is going to look pretty as things grow and flowers start blooming. Seeing the old wheelbarrow brought back a bitter sweet memory of my Dad giving me a ride in the wheelbarrow when I was a child. He was so handsome, big and strong. I loved him so~
A very enjoyable but busy day. A bit to hot and humid for me, to early yet ffor all the heat and humidity. I wilt like a flower~
