Textured Tuesday- The Lake

My photo for Textured Tuesday by Kim Klassen.

I took this photo recently at Lake Noximixon State Park. It was a beatuiful day spent with my Honey.

I wanted to play with Kim's golden texture. I converted my photo to sepia {I love sepia} Then I added Kim's golden texture and set it to multiply with the opacity 47%. I cleaned up the center of the image leaving more texture around the edges. I added another layer of the golden texture, with a soft light effect setting the opacity to about 35%. I think the photo looks old and aged.

I decided to play more and make the photo look like an old 1940s photo. The frame is from Isabella LaFrance Photography

Now I am hopelessly addicted. Even more reasons to take more photos!

  2. MaryAnn, I really love what you did with this photo. The frame is great. It could be an old postcard! The composition of the shot is wonderful with the branches draping across it.

  4. It's perfect! I love the vintage feel the textures gave, but that frame really topped it off nicely. Great shot with the lake in the background and the beautiful tree in the foreground.
