Photoshop....... the beginning

Today I decided to try working with Photoshop CS4. I've had it a while but have been reluctant to try it. I'm so used to working with Paint Shop Pro, for my pixels. I didn't know if I could find the time to learn a new program.

Well, I'm sorry I waited so long~ I recently discovered a new blog by Kim Klassen. She has wonderful photography tips and free textures. I've never worked with textures before. Her video was wonderful and showed how to use them in ten easy steps. I'm so glad I tried it.

This is a photo of my daugher in law Sarah that I took at the wedding. Sarah reminds me of a Princess in a secret garden. It's one of my favorite pictures. I used Kim's Golden texture on it. Converted the photo to sepia. Added a black vingette around the edges. Remember, I'm just learning this program today =)

I decided to participate in my first Textured Tuesday at Kim's blog.
This weeks photo assignment is people.

I can't wait to try more of Kim's textures on my photos. If your interested, please join her free texture lovin list. =)
